Prime Cafe
Time for lunch...

Prime Cafe lunch buffet

After checking in and settling all our stuff into our rooms, we headed back down for lunch at Prime Café, B Hotel's dining outlet. It's a restaurant casual enough for family get-togethers, at the same time sophisticated enough for business lunch meetings.

Here is where you have your breakfast buffet, but it also provides an all-day a la carte menu, and when the clock strikes 6 PM, it turns into Prime Bistro where diners are entertained with live acoustic music from Wednesdays to Fridays as they enjoy bar chow and cocktails with friends and colleagues.

It has a 64-person capacity and is open from 6 AM to 11 PM Mondays to Saturdays, and 6 AM to 10 PM on Sundays. Prime Café also boasts two flat screen TVs for diners' viewing pleasure, and a pastry corner loaded with mouthwatering desserts.

Additionally on Fridays, they have this Friday Lunch Buffet (P600 nett) that we got to try. By the way, kids 6 - 12 yrs. old are charged only P300 nett, while kids 5 yrs. old and below eat free.

Their selection may be limited, but the dishes are good, familiar, and ideal for business travelers who prefer an uncomplicated menu.

If you love sinigang like I do, do try their Pork Belly Tamarind Soup. Its sour broth sure gears up the appetite for more viands. My kids love the Prime Barbecue Chicken (chicken... why am I not surprised?), while my favorite would have to be the Chef Signature Sisig, a local bar chow packed with a beautiful heat that had me going for more bites together with their Ginger Chicken Fried Rice.

If you want something sinful, go for the Crispy Belly with crackly skin, though some parts of the meat were a bit tough. On the other hand, if you want something healthy, they have this Mixed Organic Green Salad where you can top your greens with some corn, carrots, and different dressings.

Petits Fours and Leche Flan

For dessert, they have Buko Salad, fresh fruits like melon and pineapple, and Leche Flan. Don't miss out on their cakes! These are really good, better than those offered in other hotel buffets. Moist, not too sweet, and not just there for the sake of completing the dessert station.

Drinks are not included in the buffet, but you can still order them (iced tea, juices, softdrinks, and coffee) from their very friendly and courteous servers, for a fee of course.
