My Niece's Birthday Party

My Niece's Birthday Party

Sunday, November 16, 2008

This morning we attended my niece's 8th birthday party. My cousin had hired a couple of jugglers and they were really good. They juggled not only balls, but they had tricks like using an apple instead, and taking a bite off the apple while juggling it around. They also used hats, putting one on the head and taking it off as it was juggled. They also juggled duster-like objects and sticks lit with fire. Everyone enjoyed the show especially the children. I didn't get to take a picture of the jugglers though, as I was busy capturing every moment in my cousin's video camera. The food was delicious, but I didn't get the caterer's name. There was spaghetti, chicken with mushrooms in cream sauce, steamed buttered baby corn and broccoli with shrimps, inihaw na liempo and sweet and sour pork meatballs. I did get generous helpings of the vegetables and liempo (mmmm... delish!), but none of the spaghetti. I don't care how yummy it is, I'm just not fond of the Filipino style or the children's party style spaghetti. I prefer my spaghetti sauce not so sweet, my perfect one would be that of Pancake House's.
