Craving for a healthy snack? Like many restaurants and food stalls of late, Sinangag Express includes some healthy options on the menu. A popular one is their Chilled Taho (P25).
Taho is a Philippine delicacy usually sold on the streets by peddlers carrying a heavy contraption of two aluminum buckets that hold the ingredients of the drink. It is made of fresh soft/silken tofu or soy beans, brown sugar syrup and sago.
How to enjoy a cup of Sinangag Express' chilled taho:
1. Take out the lid, not before taking note of the expiry date sticker on top.
2. Open the syrup's plastic container and gently pour the syrup into the cup. Make sure to squeeze the plastic so as not to let any sugary goodness go to waste.
3. Get a spoon and mix it all in -- syrup, soya, and small sago.

I love S.Ex.'s tapsilog too. It's really a go-to place for some dirt-cheap, good food. :)

...would love to make taho on my own one of these days. :)
i have to try this! love taho! :)
Come to think of it... I still haven't tasted chilled taho! It's always the hot/warm one, because in the rare times I eat taho, I buy from the vendor who roams around the neighborhood.
It's been a long time since I last had taho. Is there a Sinangag Express in Megamall?
@tetcha: i'm not sure, but i don't think so. i think their branches are only here in the South and in makati. :)
