Continuing with The Ultimate Taste Test's mouth-watering finds...

Within a few feet of Farm N' Deli's booth, the saline smell wafted through the air, inveigling. Crushed tinapa sat on the edge of cracker segments, eagerly awaiting with the sole purpose of targeting your olfactory weakness until all you can do is succumb to its power.

There's not much to say about this Lemonada drink except that there really wasn't much flavor to it. Granted it didn't taste as sour as you fear it would be, and it wasn't too sweet that it would make you gag on your feet. But the taste wasn't so much of a juice than it was of water with the tiniest smack of calamansi. It did help clean the palate, a little, though it wasn't that palatable.

What do you get when you put leche flan and cheesecake together? Just absolutely the creamiest and fluffiest of desserts. Encased in see-through plastic containers for all the world to see, these oval-shaped dainty confections are enough to make you melt with pleasure. The height of this cake allows you to appreciate the layers of golden brown caramel top, the creamy flan, and the delicate cheesecake on the bottom. Truly the flavors are in consonance with each other and so the brand name suits it perfectly well.

The cuapao, which is an open faced siopao or steamed hot bun is Ha-Yuan's offering for this event. They have three different varieties, the Braised Short Rib and Lychee, the Monk's Choice and the Pulled Pork. How the fillings overflow, reminiscent of a cornucopia that signifies prosperity, made it all the more enticing for the foodies in the tent. That tender-looking, fall of the bone braised short rib was alluring to begin with. That it was displayed on a pedestal suggestive of its grandeur was enough to make you lust for it. The grilled tofu steaks and shiitake mushrooms I did hanker after, with its glazed skin twinkling under the warm lights. Shreds of pulled pork asado and slices of pickled cucumbers seem to explode out of the soft bun with that come-hither look. Whether indeed healthy or not takes a backseat as all three succeeds in seducing and luring for another bite of those Ka-Paos, and then some.

Chef C's Paella was attractive as it was appetizing, with its bright orange yellow rice buried under clam shells and chorizo, bestrewed with julienned green and red bell peppers, and scattered with tiny green dented globes of peas. The rice is sticky, how a paella should be, and the flavor of sorts coalesce to bring about a taste that's thoroughly satisfying.

Intriguing are the flavors of Merry Moo Artisan Ice Cream. Titles such as Brown Bread, Pistachio Mango, Lemon Meringue and Berry Corny initially elicit internal guessing games as to what ingredients are inside of each. The brown bread and pistachio mango were tasty enough and may warrant another round. I can't say they're the best I've tried but if only for the uniqueness of the flavors they bring to the table, that's enough to make me buy.

Frankly, I wasn't a fan of their Green Tea, which was the only variant available for sampling. I had my eyes on another flavor which unfortunately they didn't have a teaser of.

I'm in charge of making a food dish at a fund raising event at my daughter's school. I was going to do something that I do really well, and that's low and slow smoked pork butts that turn into a melt in your mouth pulled pork serving. I learned this evening that I needed to do it in an international style booth with each family representing the background they are from. So here I was googling asado pulled pork and bingo! Someone has already done it so now I've been inspired to do a Filipino fusion with low and slow traditional slow cooked/smoked pulled pork sandwhich. Thanks!
