Another new Nama flavor to love...
My absolute favorite chocolates are those infused with liqueur. Keep your Anthon Berg stash away from me, or you'll be sorry. Another brand I love that carries liquor chocolates is Royce', particularly their Nama line. While they do offer non-alcoholic variants, I usually go for the inebriant ones.
Every few months, they have these special flavors that are sold for a limited period only. Strawberry and Maccha (green tea; that's how they spell it) are two examples of such. When I passed by Royce' at Rockwell, I was intrigued to see a new Nama box, tastefully designed with geographical shapes painted with a red monochromatic color scheme. I asked one of the staff what flavor it was, and he answered Cherry Liquor. That last word stuck to my mind, and started an internal debate which lasted for about half a second. There goes my resolve to lessen my chocolate intake.
Royce' Nama Kir Royal (P580)
The familiar dark chocolate powder touched my lips immediately after poking the golden plastic utensil through one of the blocks. With the powder yielding, the alcohol-imbued confection slowly melted against my tongue, as I reveled in absolute delight. Mmm... pure and utter delectation. It took a moment before I realized that my palate couldn't identify the said cherry, albeit I couldn't care less. The hint of champagne inside this velvety ambrosial piece of heaven was enough to send me flying to cloud nine.
Go ahead... take a bite...
