Get Ready for Rockwell's 2nd Ultimate Taste Test!

Hey foodies! Take a look at what's coming...

I remember the first one held last year. It was my first time to attend an Ultimate Taste Test event, and though munching your way through 50+ food purveyors proved to be tiring (I didn't even get to sample all of their fare), it was highly satiating and satisfying at the same time.

And now it's back, and I'm gonna make sure I'm ready for it. So should you!

A gastronomic collaboration of Our Awesome Planet, San Miguel Lifestyle Brews and Rockwell, this event is guaranteed to tickle your taste buds and whet your appetites. Last year it was only a one-day affair, welcoming 1,000 foodies into the Rockwell Tent at the Power Plant Mall. This year, it's definitely bigger, with its 2 days of foodie fun, accommodating 2,000 food-loving, critics-for-a-day gourmandizers. This is actually the 10th installment of UTT (it being held in different venues throughout the year like in Mercato and Soderno), and the 2nd one in partnership with Rockwell. [UPDATE: This year's UTT will only be a one-day event and it's gonna be on September 15, 2012, Saturday, from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM.]

Rockwell's Ultimate Taste Test is an event where different concessionaires and food purveyors gather and give out free samples of their best sellers or new products which can either be already in the market, have just been launched or will soon be launched. Foodies and other visitors will rate the food on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest. Participants with the highest ratings (ones who get an average rating of 3.8 and above) get to be featured in Anton Diaz' blog, Our Awesome Planet, which will help upsurge their popularity and sales even more; not to mention features in other food bloggers' sites as well.

There is no registration fee for the suppliers but you need to be able to provide bite-sized portions of your products, enough for 1,000 foodies. If you're interested to apply, just fill up the Rockwell UTT Application Form and submit via email to [email protected].

Foodies, on the other hand, get to embark on a gustatory adventure (and be a food critic for a day or two), sampling goodies from 40+ provisioners consisting of home-based vendors and restaurants from the Power Plant Mall. Along with this, you get to have a bottle of either San Miguel Super Dry, Premium All-Malt or Cerveza Negra, but only IF you're 18 years old and above.

Tickets are now being sold at Php 585 per head for one day. This event is limited to 1,000 foodies so better hurry in getting your tickets! You can buy them from Rockwell Customer Care (898.1702) during mall hours or at the Creative Juice Office (570.7827) during office hours.
